Dry red wine of Origin Stellenbosch. Kanonkop: Means "Cannon Hill and is derived from the days when cannons were fired to signal the arrival of Dutch trade ships into Cape Town Harbour. Varietal: 100% pinotage. Viniculture: Fermentation took place in open concrete vessels for 3-1/2 days at 84 degrees F. Cap punched down manually every 2 hours. Style: Produced in the traditional Kanonkop Fashion. Medium bodied with a deep ruby colour. Gentle oak and tannin structures give this wine a long, lingering and smooth finish.
