Our founder learned her now-famous recipe from her grandmother, harvesting fresh vegetables and ingredients from their garden. In 2003, she began to make her own flatbreads for friends. Having never heard of such a dish, people raved. She looked to farmers' markets and applied for her own booth, thinking, 'If others can do it, why can't 1?' It was met with immediate success. With the help of her family, Bolani continued to grow, attending farmers' markets all over California. We have always believed in using locally sourced produce and fresh ingredients.
