Pian delle Vigne estate is located 3.5 miles southwest from the town of Montalcino. 160 acres are planted of the 454 acre estate. Beautiful volume and texture. This wine has always marched to its own drumbeat, and this newest release is no exception. A warmer microclimate characterizes the spot where these vineyards are located, and the fruit is opulent, ripe and exuberant as a result. The Antinori house style also comes through, and the wine has a more contemporary or international outlook as a result.
