Marchesi Ruevi Wine - 750 Ml
Ruvei is 85% Barbera and 15% Nebbiolo. The grapes used in producing this wine come exclusively from vineyards located in heart of the production of Barolo, Barbaresco and Nebbiolo daEAlba. Production code allows to make Barbera daEAlba wine in the assembly with a small percentage (up to 15%) of Nebbiolo daEAlba, in order to increase finesse and elegance.The vines are grown with Guyot (VSP trellised) system on hills with favorable inclines and terrains that are calcareous with layers of whitish marl. Grapes are hand harvested and soft pressed. The grapes undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature in thermo- conditioned vats. Maceration of the skins lasts for eight days. The wine is aged for approximately 6 months in large Slovenian oak casks.
A traditional Piedmontese wine made of 85% Barbera and 10% Nebbiolo. This full bodied wine is a dark ruby-red with crimson shades. The aroma is intense with scents of wild berries and spices and the palate is robust and pleasant. Pairs well with it an meats boiled or roasted.
